Andy Marriss is a highly experienced construction professional with an extensive background in project and construction management, Clerk of Works services and quality control. Having worked across a wide range of sectors throughout the UK, Andy brings considerable practical knowledge of construction methods, workmanship, health and safety, design management and contract delivery.

Andy has extensive experience working as a Clerk of Works and NEC Supervisor, providing independent oversight of construction works and monitoring quality, progress and compliance with project requirements. His experience includes education, healthcare, student accommodation, hotels, commercial developments, residential projects, industrial facilities and rail infrastructure.

Before specialising in Clerk of Works and NEC Supervisor roles, Andy spent many years in project and construction management, taking responsibility for projects from pre-construction and design coordination through to delivery and completion. This has given him a thorough understanding of the challenges faced by clients, contractors and project teams, together with the practical experience needed to identify issues early and support effective solutions.

He has worked with a variety of contract forms, including JCT, NEC and bespoke contracts, including PFI projects. His experience encompasses site management, procurement, programme control, quality assurance, risk management, health and safety and the coordination of contractors and consultants.

Andy works alongside Brant Construction Quantum Experts when instructed to provide Contract Administration services. His extensive site experience and practical approach complement Brant’s commercial and contractual expertise, helping clients maintain control of their projects, uphold construction standards and address potential issues before they develop into more significant problems.
