This quarter's (Spring 2011) Newsletter provides articles on the 'Prevention Principle', the costs of adjudication and details of Mark's charity event. This Years Charity event falls to Mark. On June 25th Mark will be Climbing Snowdon whilst Blind folded, in support of a little known Charity, Retinitis Pigmentosa. Retinitis pigmentosa (RP) is the name given to a group of inherited diseases of the retina that all lead to a progressive reduction in vision and potentially a complete loss of sight. Mark says, ‘RP is close to my heart after my Wife Lisa was diagnosed with the condition five years ago. Lisa has already lost her peripheral vision resulting in a reduction of approximately 50% of her total sight. On 01 February the recently resurrected West Anglia Branch of the fbe held its launch event at the Haycock Hotel in Wansford near Stamford. The event was attended by over 70 construction professionals and was highly praised by the attendees. This event would never have happened had it not been for Ian's persistence and hard work as chairman, ably assisted by Mark and the rest of the committee.
