  • Ian specialises in the valuation of variations, and the preparation of interim and Final accounts. He also has extensive experience in carrying out on site quantity surveying duties, including, but not limited to, procurement, monthly cost reports and processsing payments. Ian also aids in the production of documentation for commencing, or defending Adjudications.

    Ian is heavily involved in the local Construction scene. Currently serving as Junior Vice Chairman of the Greater Peterborough centre of the CIOB, Ian is stepping up to the role of Centre Chair at the March (2012) AGM. Being a member of the Committee enables Ian to remain in touch with what is happening in the Peterborough area and help influence the topics of CPD events. Ian Says, ‘having achieved Chartered status with the CIOB, I became involved with the local Committee early in 2011. Working hard to assist in three events I am looking forward to the challenge of stepping up into the Chairman’s role.’

    Ian regularly attends the Peterborough chamber of Commerce Construction lunches and also attends the Peterborough Property Network events quarterly. Ian is also the outgoing Chairman of the Forum for the Built Environment (fbe). ‘Having resurrected the West Anglia Branch of the fbe back in 2009 I now feel it is the right time to hand over the reins to another member of our committee. We have enjoyed successful events during my tenure, from the Bank of England presenting to us on the Economy to Mr Dominic Helps (Construction Lawyer and columnist for ‘Building’) presenting his views on alternative dispute resolution.’
