Brant Associates was established as a Partnership in 1995 by Trevor Brant with the purpose of providing a full spectrum of Quantity Surveying Services, with the emphasis being on Dispute Resolution. The Practice was founded on Trevor's extensive experience gained in Dispute Resolution and business obtained from personal contacts.

Trevor was initially joined by a former colleague, Chris Wilson who has many years experience of commercial matters in construction, gained working for Main Contractors and Specialist Sub-Contractors. Chris, whilst now having officially retired to Brittany still contributes from time to time in a Consultancy capacity.

In 1996 Trevor and Chris were joined by Tim Wootton who had been a partner in a Private Practice Quantity Surveying Company based in St Ives for many years. Brant Associates Ltd was incorporated at this time with Trevor, Chris and Tim being the Directors. Tim left the Practice in March 2005 to pursue other business interests.

In July 1999 the company bought it's own office premises in St Ives, Cambridgeshire. This location was chosen due it's central positioning and transport links.

In February 2000 Trevor persuaded another former colleague, David Kimber to join the company. David whilst bringing extensive experience in dispute resolution also brought a balance in terms of his Private Practice background. David was made a Director in April 2005. Unfortunately David left us in 2006 to pursue a new life in Canada.

In 2004 Trevor's son Mark joined the company having followed in his fathers footsteps working for a Main Contractor, where he was Project Quantity Surveyor on a number of multi Million Pound projects. Since joining Mark has gained invaluable experience of Adjudications, Mediation and dispute avoidance techniques. Mark generally carries out any analytical or valuation works. Furthermore he has been involved with helping clients on a site level, with the implementation of systems to mitigate issues they have, aswell as assisting clients with revising their procurement procedures and documentation. He has also helped to make the business more efficient through the implementation of systems and upgrading the IT network.

In 2004 Brant Associates also further developed their already close bonds with Simon Penrose of Southlands Construction Services. Due to the succesful partnering arrangement that existed between the two companies Simon's details are included within this Website under the Key Personnel section.

In 2006 Brant Associates secured the services of Neil Elder FRICS. Neil was brought in as a Director and served us well for two and a half years prior to leaving us to take up a position closer to home.

In 2009 Trevor's youngest son Ian joined the company having also followed his father, and elder brother into Main Contracting. Ian gained experience through working for two large Main Contractors including being Project Surveyor on a number of multi million pound developments. Ian also brings with him management experience from his previous career within the Leisure industry.

The Company has seen consistent growth since inception and plans to sustain this controlled growth over the coming years.
